A very relaxed and laid-back class. Grading was divided into four sections: the midterm (20%), the final (25%), reading responses (39%), and class participation (16%). There are thirteen reading responses, each one is 3 points toward your final grade. If you actually read the material, response to the prompt, and turn it in on time, you get the full 3 points. The exams are graded wayyy more harshly than the reading responses. The exams are formatted to be a few short answer responses. Make sure you pay attention in lecture so you can expand the knowledge from the reading to things in lecture. As for class participation, it's mostly just having conversations with the people around you and answering questions she asks. We were able to write a paragraph describing how many points we thought we deserved for participation. This class does cover very triggering topics though so be warned.
