This is the J-term in Berlin class and it is without a doubt the best experience I've had at UVa. The material of the class is rather dull to be honest, but it's a guaranteed A if you at least turn in the minimal amount of work you have to do. No reading necessary at all. There are daily 300 word Collab posts while in Berlin, and everyone pretty much takes ideas from each other and recombines them because they're pretty much a completion grade. The essay at the end of the class is also pretty much a joke since you can completely bomb it and still get an A at the end of the class, so don't worry, this is a total GPA booster. If you can, go on the trip. You'll make amazing friends even if you know nobody going in, and you don't need to speak a word of German.
