I LOVED THIS CLASS. I think this has been my favorite class at UVA. Dr. C is truly awesome and every class was SO fun. She always tries to teach material through fun stories and it makes class very enjoyable and entertaining. The course itself also wasn't too challenging, however, there is a lot of material. There are 4 exams in this class, plus a final open book notebook exam. Weekly homework and a group project. Homework is a notebook on diseases you fill out throughout the year which some weeks can be really time consuming but as long as you do it a few days before you should be totally fine. Additionally, I usually got a little above average on exam 1-3 (which the average was usually low As) and then got a 100 on exam 4 and final exam. It is totally doable! For studying, I would start two days before and be perfectly fine. Not like intro bio in the college where you study for a week straight and barely get a B. Dr. C provides you guided notes at the beginning of the semester that you have for each lecture. If you study from this, you should do well! Also, Dr. C does not want to fail you, she genuinely cares and want you to learn. Also, she gives out extra credit sometimes, so definitely go to class! I think I've learned more in this class than anything this past semester. Dr. C is really an amazing professor. Lastly, I was not a nursing student so I was a little nervous to take this class from the college and I am SO glad I did. Really the best class ever! I can't say more positive things. TAKE IT!!!
