If you are looking for a reliable teacher who will actually email you back do not take this course. She is horrible at getting back to you via email, office hours are often canceled. Many students in the class had the same issue. She also says she does not get emails because her email does not work, but every other teacher seems to be able to get emails on the same system……... She brings people in to talk to us, but then when people contact them for help they do not respond either or are rude. The class is kind of interesting though. She is a very hard grader for essays and has you read every book through an ‘environmental lense’. The class has 2 essays, a final, a group project and participation.

This was my favorite class this semester! The books that Professor Glassie chose were extremely engaging and super fun! If you love beaches and reading, this is the BEST class! The reading assignments are moderately intensive but the works are genuinely fun to read!
