So ENWR 1510 should be your booster fun class but taking it was Jason was not. Maybe I could have done or liked this class more if I liked the topic more (Sustainability) but I found it so boring. The discussion in class was dull because we would basically talk about how to help the environment and lead a more sustainable life, but be contradicted by the end of the class on why we can't. A bit depressing to be honest.
Anyways Jason is a harsh grader and he tells you he doesn't give out A's which sucks because this should be a GPA booster class. I worked HARD for my B+. The writing in this class was basically research papers. I spent hours researching topics and then hours writing papers. Other ENWR classes wrote papers on episodes of crime fighting TV shows or on fun books like the hunger games so PLEASE get a fun ENWR class. I took this class because I liked the time the most but if I could go back I would rather pick a 7pm ENWR class than this one.

This class can be boring but if you're a decent writer it will be easy. I hardly did the reading and when I did I didn't read more than a couple of pages of each and I got an easy A. This class was a lot easier than my 12th grade English class and I didn't try that much on essays (watched How I met Your Mother while I wrote them) but still got A's on all of them. Jason's critiques are very useful and help you to write very thorough essays.

If you want to take this class to learn, I seriously recommend Jason. He is a tough grader and he gives a fair amount of reading and homework, but I have honestly progressed as a writer more in one semester than all of my high school career combined. He is also a really cool guy and he makes you think!

Politics and Media.....need I say more. He's an extremely tough grader, out of 18 kids only 2 have been known to get an A on a few of the essays. He tells you at the start of the semester that he rarely gives A's, so don't expect one. Taking this class was my biggest regret of the semester. I found the topic very interesting and learned a lot, he just asks for your opinions in your papers and if it isn't his opinion you are automatically marked down. Wish I could have taken the ENWR on superheroes.

Horrible TA. Worst class ever!
