This was a great class. The grades come from a Midterm Portfolio (40%), Final Portfolio (50%), and participation which is 10%. Mike is also a super awesome guy and he makes gender and sexuality interesting. He adds a lot of personality to the class. Not very much reading or work besides the portfolios. Basically you write 4 essays the whole year and just revise it. The class is super great and I would suggest it for anyone! It is also great because you can literally write your paper about anything just remember to do it in the format he teaches. Be aware that it is very hard to get an A in this class. I got the second highest mark and that was a A-. However, it is not impossible if you work on your papers.

If you need to take an ENWR, take one with Mike. He is the man.

Great teacher who really tries to make the class interesting and funny. He really helps you learn the concepts of writing, and gives you a lot of room for your own ideas. An A is doable if you put in the effort!
