This class had three essays for the portfolio, reading for almost every class and

I really really disliked Seitz. He rubbed me the wrong way. He tried to be friends with the class but when we were a little excited about the subject, he would shut it down and be super strict. He also had a lot of stupid ideas like moving the tables. He was also really into "discussing" the readings by which he meant him lecturing about it and then allowing only one person to respond and then challenging their view. The writing homework was useless. I feel like I actually wrote more poorly. All of the prompts were ridiculously subjective and in useless methods of writing (describing music, talking about how something changed your view of a piece of music). He also didn't specify what he thought was "good writing" and he was bad at justifying his grades. Really disliked the class and sucked all the fun out of the topic.
