If you need a first year writing requirement, I highly recommend this class with Allison Gish. The topic of her ENWR was love, which was always very interesting and she does a great job keeping the class interesting as always. She is one of the most organized professors I have had ensuring each student knows due dates and expectations. She also uses specifications grading which I really liked. You write 3 main essays with a reading for each class, but overall the readings are interesting as well as class discussion.
