I love Ian <3 he's quite literally one of the nicest professors I've ever had. There is quite a bit of writing, as you would expect, but none of the essays are more than 5 pages long and Ian is a super easy grader. We read essays before every class, most of which were pretty interesting, and discussed them. As a STEM major, I wasn't super interested in the topic, "Experimenting with the Essay", but we read a wide variety of essays so if you don't like one, the next is totally different. Anyways, this class is just super refreshing because the workload is so manageable and Ian is a really cool dude. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants just a standard ENWR, especially if you need to pull up your GPA :)
