Marvin Campbell is a great teacher. He really cares about his students and is very active initiating class discussions. I took Music and Society and I thought we would just learn about music in society such as the music industry, artist performances, lyrics, etc, but we also learn about the social culture related to music like cultural appropriation, feminism, and other political issues. I learned not only how to improve my writing skills but also became educated on how music plays an important role in society. Overall, this class was a great experience and I'm glad I enrolled in it.

He is a great professor! Grades rough drafts harshly, however, they are ghost grades so it doesn't count. Work hard on final portfolios and DO THEM EARLY. Easy A-, very hard A
