If you have something to say about rock music, take this class as your ENWR!!! It's a little difficult at first to write about, but Lindau is lenient on the first paper so that you can get used to it. After that, it's smooth sailing. Lectures are fun and engaging, weekly reading assignments aren't too difficult (they can be annoying though), and the papers were a lot of fun to write.

Class is fun and Ms. Lindau will try make it as entertaining as possible.
Ms. Lindau is an awesome teacher. The topic of this course was extremely interesting. It can be a lot of repetitive work at times, but the workload really isn't bad. Pretty easy to get an A and you won't want to kill yourself getting it. Very enthusiastic and enjoyable lady. Take this ENWR!!!
Not positive this is the same class I'm thinking of, but I took Rock Music ENWR 110 with Lindau. As far as writing classes go, this class is about as fun as one could hope for. Sometimes the class gets dry just because of the nature of the material (talking about specific grammar structures for example). All in all though, an easy class, about an interesting and fun topic, with a very chill teacher.
I don't know why it says American Climate and Culture but I took Rock Music. I placed into 210 but thought this would be a cool topic, and it was. She was pretty laid-back, and provided a fun atmosphere for the class to work in. She also gave pretty clear critiques and gave pretty open guidelines for paper topics. I wrote about Third Eye Blind's ability to relate to WASPs for example. I know other ENWRs require a whole lot more research and this one didn't really, but was still really interesting.
