Clayton is incredibly hard to work with, especially as this is an entry level A-school (not architecture) class. Because the entire class is more subjective, it is hard to get a clear understanding of what is actually going on. I would go in with questions about assignments and walk out with more. I tried so hard to bargain with myself that I was just complaining about the work, but as the semester went on, and the assigments kept growing more and more outlandish, I started to rethink this position. If you do not have to take this class, do not take it. If you want to do architecture, take this. I think you will find enjoyment. If you are a planner or architectural historian, do anything you can to get out of this class. It was a waste of my time.
