Overall, definitely would recommend this class. I came into with no interest or previous experience in Jewish American literature but by the end of the class I was really passionate about the subject. Professor Rody is fantastic: knowledgeable, fun, and flexible. There are a lot of readings but it isn't too bad because they're interesting. Three short paragraph reading responses, some in-class writing, a group presentation, and two papers, and a final exam (or creative project) are the requirements. She's a fair grader on papers, and is willing to work with you throughout the entire process.
