If you like and understand verse and Shakespeare, take this class. Prof. Kinney is helpful and always makes herself very available before papers are due. Grade is made up of 1 short assignment, 1 short paper, 2 longer papers, a final, and participation. Course fulfills the 2nd writing requirement. You read 6 or 7 plays in a semester and if she feels like the class isn't doing the reading, she will give quizzes. She divides the reading to about 40 pages per class. Overall, not a difficult grader and not a very difficult class. Take the time to write good papers - she only allows one rewrite for the semester.
