Professor Sligh is absolutely incredible. He makes the readings enjoyable, helpful, and productive. My all-time favorite professor, cannot stress enough how much you should take any class with him.

Ghost Stories and Spectral tales with Dr. Sligh is a joy if you're into the weird! He says at the beginning that he wanted the class to be mainly discussion based with the students leading, but I will admit he tends to lead and lecture on about these tales. I love the stories we read- my favorites are "A Dream of Armageddon," "The Call of Cthulhu," and "The Canterville Ghost." Fun way to get the 2nd writing req. out of the way and learn about some of the most famous and strange tales since 1800. Also, I totally recommend being familiar with Hamlet, Jane Eyre, and other classics like this. It helps impress him in class :)
