Eliza is the best! She is a difficult grader, but she is one of the nicest and most helpful teachers out there. If you want to meet with her 3x a week until a paper is due to make your outline perfect before you write it, she will be more than happy to help. And I highly recommend meeting with her about papers because she really knows her stuff and helps a lot. Most enjoyable class I took this semester, I wanted to go to class. Doesn't matter what she's teaching, take it.

Though she is very particular on essay structures, I believe this is one of the best classes I've taken at UVA! There are daily (easy) reading quizzes, 3 papers, and a final exam...all of which are absolutely doable. She even brings us muffins and cupcakes at the end of the semester and there are many times when we watched movies in class to learn about the art of adaptations and its purpose.
