Keith is not only a great teacher, but also a great advisor. His enthusiasm makes you want to work hard on projects. Easy class if you put in the effort.

One of the best professors and the easiest A you will get in your time in UVA. Take this class blindly and you'll have a great time doing enjoyable projects. Keith is a really open guy and will offer you great advice if you approach him.
Course helps you find out about the different engineering majors and the professor really cares about the well being of his students. Enjoyed the course and the speakers professor Williams brought.
Professor Williams is really cool and chill. I think the material he teaches is fairly useful in looking at engineering, but I don't really think the course was overly organized or had a unified theme. The course overall was fun and easy though.
Professor Williams is by far the best professor you could have for this class. He's knowledgeable but really down to earth, and he'll also most likely be your advisor which is really helpful. His class is really fun and enjoyable. There's only like one homework assignment every week and they're all pretty easy. The midterm is annoying to study for but it isn't hard, and there isn't a final exam. The TAs do most of the grading, but if you have Collin or Watson they're lax and don't grade super hard. A good portion of the class is a group project but it's fun and you don't have to do much on your own time outside of class. Good professor if you want to do hands on stuff rather than just sitting through lectures
This class is a great break from your first year engineering curriculum. On top of that, you have correctly chosen Keith Williams as your Professor. Keith is the man. He cares about his students, he's willing to go out of his way to help you, and he loves to hang out with you outside of class. This class is very group-work oriented and his projects are a lot of fun. There's almost never homework. You'll have to work outside of class for a few group projects, but that's about it. I highly recommend this class with Keith; he's not just a professor, he's an adviser and your friend.
If you look at other ENGR 1620 professors, you'll realize that grading is pretty easy. Honestly, all of the professors are fantastic. You'll learn a lot and you really get to know them. It doesn't matter who you get, so don't worry about it.
This class can make or break your first semester as a first-year and it all depends on your professor. Some 1620 professors will just lecture you or create one big group project to base your whole grade off of which I believe provides undue pressure. However, if you find yourself taking Keith Williams' class, your semester difficulty decreases DRASTICALLY. Prof. Williams was sent down from the heavens to bless any first-year taking his class. 95% of the work you do is in class and the outside work is stuff you didn't finish in class. His midterm is a 50 question multiple choice exam that is so easy. He doesn't really do much of the class grading but the TA's are so chill and could care less about how good the work is. As long as you turn in something it's almost a guaranteed 100%. In addition to being a chill and awesome teacher, Prof. Williams is also an awesome adviser. He genuinely cares about all his students and gives legit advice on class picking and is surprisingly knowledgeable about all the other professors and will give you advice on who to take and not to take. All around, Keith Williams is the man and the best professor you could ever choose to take. I luckily got him randomly, but if you have the option please take him. You won't be disappointed.
Professor Williams is a goofy nerdy guy who loves what he teaches and is very knowledgeable. Easiest class I've taken so far and learned a lot about different subjects. Cool subjects studied and engaging classes. Definitely take this class with Williams - best professor for this section by far.
Pretty easy if you just do the weekly assignment correctly
Take ENGR 1620 with Keith Williams.
