Variety of material which is mostly interesting. Some lectures were pretty boring and Green is a bit too welcoming of everyone's opinion, there were times where I wished he would stop taking class comments and keep lecturing. Midterm and final both require a bit of studying, but he gives you the list of every possible question on the tests, so you know exactly what you are getting. If you go to lecture you don't need to do the reading, but don't try to do the reading and skip lecture. There are two short papers to write, which are both easy. Paul Nedelisky is a very good TA.

Recommend attending lectures because they are interesting and enjoyable. Also, do the readings, they help you to understand the lectures. The papers are not hard and the professor is very approachable. Overall fun class and very insightful.

This class has two papers, a midterm, and a final. Both papers are fairly short and I didnt spend much time studying for the exams, but I still got A's. Just do the readings throughout the semester and your set.

Really interesting class and accessible to non-majors. The topics and readings were all pretty good and well-explained in class. Tests were reasonable to prepare for because he gives you a bunch of study questions ahead of time.

Mitch is good. The class involves two papers, a midterm and a final, so there aren't a ton of grades. Homework probably averages about 40 pages for each class. Could definitely be harder depending if you've got a hard TA grading your work.

Mitch is a great guy and works hard to make the class interesting and fun. I've never taken philosophy before, and it turns out I don't really like it, but it was still a worthwhile class that I did well in. I got majorly behind on the reading, but still got an A-. Take the class with friends or make a study group, go to lectures, and you're golden.

the course examines very interesting things that are nice to ponder; the grading method is great--he gives you the questions up front throughout the semester and chooses from this set, so you know what he'll ask beforehand; study groups are great for preparation. The papers are reasonably graded and plenty of help is offered by prof and ta's.
