Professor Lolordo is really great! She guides the discussion well, and really lets the students do most of the talking throughout the class (which is fitting for the seminar style). Some of the older readings were not that interesting, but I think that was a matter of personal preference. She chose really great contemporary readings that demonstrated perspectives from both sides of an issue, which I appreciated. The structure of the class was assigned readings each week with the first half of the semester having 1-page reading responses due the night before class. As a class, we voted on the topics we wanted to read about for the 4 "case study" weeks, which was nice (these did not have reading responses). Then we had two weeks of no class in order to work on our final papers and projects. I'm not sure what her grading standard is since we just turned in the two major assignments. Overall, I recommend this class!
