Prof. Loeffler is a great lecturer and very helpful. If you go to his office hours he would do anything in his power to make you succeed in the course. I loved his course it was really interesting and while the readings can be dull but in the end they get very interesting. I fully recommend this course.

Professor Loeffler is a nice guy and he is very intelligent. Other than that, I don't really know what he has going for him. His voice is annoying and his lectures are completely scattered. He jumps from one point to the next, and then back again, and then back to four days ago, and so on. He assigns way more reading than is even possible to do, so most people in my class just stopped doing the reading altogether. When it came time to write the essays, it was very frustrating. They are a major part of your grade, and he gives you two essay choices. The questions he would use to guide you to your answer, however, made it difficult to develop a thesis with an argument. It seemed like he wanted an answer, not an argument. Very frustrating.

Great class. If you attend lecture, and do the work, it'll be a great experience.
