This course was a 1 credit co-requisite with ENWR 2800 - Public Speaking. At first, I was unsure if I would like this "Contemplative Lab" but I found it very enjoyable. There was a lot of writing for a 1 credit class but it was fairly manageable. It definitely felt like the course was about me and my life as a creator as we worked with other classes like Sound Studies and Dance Composition. We were able to collaborate with these students too and the class had such a welcoming and safe environment for creating or expressing your ideas. Karolyn is so great and the other instructors also attend the lab too so you get to interact with all these amazing educators who help make the lab so much better. This class is a co-requisite so you would have to take it but if you are on the fence about taking sound studies, dance composition, or public speaking because it has this co-requisite, I promise it will add to the learning experience greatly!
