This class was amazing because Arab-Israeli conflict is so controversial--whatever opinions you go into that class with, the reading material really challenges your preconceived notions. Unfortunately, some of the discussions got really heated because the teacher really didn't have the backbone to control the classroom. So although the civility was lacking amongst some students, it was still a pretty great class since it is all based on discussion. So if you love debate and you can stand your ground with an intelligent argument, you should take this class. The real downer to this course was the amount of assigned reading. If you're the type that never does the reading anyway, then you're set. I unfortunately do all the reading, and it's pretty intense for this course. Given that you're expected to make discussion posts and talk in class, it's important to at least peruse the material. Klosko was a very easy grader, so I was never worried about papers or tests.
