This class is very difficult to rate. The reading load is RIDICULOUS - expend to spend 10 hours per week + if you're a slow reader. However, Prof Casteen is an amazing professor and you should take this class for the experience. How many people get to take a class on Icelandic Lit with the ex-President of the University and get guest lectures from geological and historical experts? Highly recommend taking it if you have a slow semester and can handle the workload.
