This course is not an easy A, but it is not too hard. The average for the class was an 85 this semester. There are pop quizzes and the TAs grading can be subjective based off who you have as your TA. The class definitely offered some interesting information but the class and the professor can be a lot to handle if you do not have thick skin.

Professor Otu made a relatively dry subject incredibly fun to learn about and study. I truly enjoyed going to class due to his rhetorical skills and passion. Cannot recommend him enough! He's also very receptive, and made an effort to get to know every student in the course. I went to his office hours multiple times and always enjoyed talking with him. Take a class with Kwame, he is awesome!

This class is easy but don't take it because you think it's an easy A. The class is only easy because so much of the information is common knowledge if you're already well informed. But Professor Otu will most definitely challenge you and I love it. He is outspoken and is dedicated to educating his students. Most classes teach you information for the next test but AAS teaches you information for life. I recommend taking this class, no matter your race. I guarantee you will learn something new.
