Pretty good class if you need an A. Professor Tackett is a good teacher and her tests come directly from the notes. If you do your work you will be fine. The group project is kind of not relevant, but it is not a time consuming project especially if you split your group's work up. Professor Tackett is very accommodating to athletes and makes the class work for them also if they miss a lot of class. She is very gracious in giving deadlines for assignments and project work. All in all a decent class where your grade actually reflects the work you put into the class.

Maria is a wonderful teacher and very willing to help if you have any questions! I have never taken a Statistics course before and she made it easy for me to succeed with a little effort. I highly recommend this class with her.

A good class to take if you're looking for a relatively easy A and something to knock out the science/math requirement- self-explanatory homework if you pay attention in class, super nice professor who is willing to help you out if you ask questions during class/office hours, and quizzes/exams match class material pretty well. You get out of the class what you put in, so put in the work!!

If you put in some adequate work, you will get a relatively good grade. There are no readings. The lectures and WebAssign is all you really need to study for the exams.

I didn't take this class, but I'm outraged by the fact that the professor took off points because my friend turned an assignment in on recycled paper. These points meant the difference between an A and an A- in the class, and after respectfully going to Maria to get the points back, she still refused to give them back.

Maria is great! Easy class-- three exams, one project, and a homework assignment every week. Easy to get an A if you put a small amount of effort into it.

This class is really great if you're trying to knock out a stat requirement. 3 exams, one group project at the end of the semester, and webassign homework make up most of the grade. The webassign and in-class examples are a good way to get an idea of her exams which are very straightforward. Tackett is really nice and approachable, lectures are concise. Highly recommended.
