TAKE THIS CLASS! Amago is so nice and makes such a good effort to connect with his students. The class itself was structured so that we watched one film a week and had to submit a film clip from the film by Tuesday and then for 10 weeks submit a short essay analyzing the formal elements of the clip and how they tied in to themes. Midterm and final you are given the questions ahead of time and he picks a few from the list he hands out. I had never taken a film class before but loved this one and felt like there was a lot of guidance for people who hadn’t done film before, and he makes sure to go over the important parts of a film which I maybe had missed in class. My last Spanish class at UVA and I’m so happy I took this one with Amago. #tCFfall2021
