Pope is an extremely nice professor and definitely knows his stuff. He is a native speaker and can be sometimes difficult to understand, but you get used to it and it helps your comprehension abilities too. The readings are usually pretty interesting. Class is all discussion based and sometimes he has you do some random creative activities which are kind of boring but easy and never graded. Only assignments are weekly comments about one of the things you read that week, either oral or written. Exams are easy and fair, and there's one essay at the end. Pretty easy and relatively interesting.
