SPAN 2010

Most boring and unenthusiastic teacher spanish teacher ever. We spent out 50 minutes doing pointless activities and readings that we never learned anything from. She is terrible with communication, planning, and organization. She seems to be a bit condescending and low key rude to students. Sometimes she shows up late. Felt like an experiment in her class with all the different things she wanted us to try, which showed how unprepared she was. I sometimes did not agree with her grading. She did not grade in timely manners and always made mistakes with someone's gradebook. Lost a couple of assignments as well. Strongly dislike her and her teaching style. Don't take if possible

Prof Pittman was literally the worst professor I have ever had at UVA. While her spanish was great, her ability to teach or plan ahead was absolutely terrible. It was so obvious she came to class unprepared, as she often wasted excessive time or left us to have "independent group work" for like 30 min straight. I also felt like we were kind of an experiment because she always handed out these random surveys, and then at the end of the semester she showed videos of all of us and survey responses, and I was bothered that she never asked permission to take videos of us before posting them online. I feel like my spanish got worse throughout the semester. She also never once responded to any of my emails, and took weeks to return assignments. Take it with literally ANYBODY else.

Does not enjoy teaching students, targets individuals that she does not like, & does not actually teach you material
