Spanish 1060 is definitely a lot of work regardless of the teacher you have. It is a "flipped-classroom" so we have to learn the material on our own (through the hw assignments) and spend class time practicing and reviewing the material. We had online homework and assignments due every week which could be pretty time-consuming. Here is what I recommend you do to get an A. First make sure you do all of the homework assignments and projects on time because you don't get late credit for most of it. Try to do things ahead of time and don't wait until the last minute. The tests are pretty straightforward and cover all the material and doing the practice tests are really beneficial because its the same format. Also, for the in-class tests, the test questions are mostly fill in the blank so be prepared for that. I went into Spanish pretty nervous because I forgot a lot of what I learned from high school and was nervous about having to speak in class. However, I really liked the class. Professor Murillo creates such a comfortable learning environment and I feel like I learned a lot in the class. He is also a pretty fair grader and is very approachable, so I definitely recommend him!
