Good class, very interesting topic and discussion about the history and practices data visualization. Data processing and wrangling is not really covered in the class, so an introductory cs/practical statistics class (stat1601 for example) is recommended. The works throughout the semester is minimal, but the final project takes quite a while to figure out with either tableau or d3. Eric is an amazing professor who wants you to learn instead of doing busy works, so definitely take fun advantages over his office hour. Overall recommended if you’re interested in data analytics or need a fun elective.
