You should absolutely take this class! Professor Hart is one of the best professors on grounds, genuinely cares about his students, and is a genius in the subjects he teaches. He does not rush through the material or assign an excessive amount of readings like most professors do because he wants his class to understand each work of poetry. We typically study one poem per class and Professor Hart does a phenomenal job of explaining each poem in-depth. There are two ten page papers and Professor Hart teaches you how to analyze the poetry better than any professor I have had in the past. I cannot stress enough how great Professor Hart is and how much I truly enjoyed each class. Considering I usually have no real motivation or desire to take the classes I enroll in, it was a pleasant surprise to really enjoy a course for once.
