Oishi is entertaining to listen to. Tests are a little dry (all multiple choice), but if you study the notes and read the chapters, they aren't too bad. Paper was a little time consuming, but easy.

This has been the best class that I've taken at UVA. This class convinced me to become a psych major. Oishi's lectures are interesting and fun to listen to, I enjoyed coming to class. I learned a lot of things in his class that explained my own and others behavior. This class was easy for me. Sometimes the wording on the questions of the tests could be a bit confusing, but it's not hard, just pay attention at lecture and read the book. Even though the tests focus on his lectures, he does ask more detailed questions from the book, so read the book too. Overall, great class, really interesting and easy.
Oishi was really funny. If you go to class and do the clicker questions you should have a really good understanding of the material and it should be and easy and enjoyable A.
Easy class, probably best I have taken at the university. Prof. Oishi is a very funny guy and makes you look forward to coming to class.
Really did not like this class. It seems like an easy class but you actually have to read the book because his tests are pure memorization of useless scientists. Some of the stuff is interesting, but overall it was an absolute pain to go to class every day and it was way more effort than I expected. If you're looking for an elective, absolutely look somewhere else. Plus the final is cumulative, which sucks.
Its a really easy class. Most things are applicable to everyday life so the reading isn't necessary for the concepts. It helps though because of the studies covered in the book. My only issue was getting used to his accent and that his questions obviously aren't proofread by any of his TAs.
GREAT class. Very applicable, not hard.
Oishi is so cute and funny! he's a really good professor and really knows what he's talking about when it comes to soc. psyc. Take him, his class is pretty straightforward: make sure you know major experiments from lectures and book. 2 midterms, a paper (so easy), and one final.
He's a great lecturer, but his class is not as easy as it would seem. The exams definitely trick you and seem easier than they actually are.
I think I was spoiled by having Psyc professors like Nosek and Jaswal who are hands down some of the best professors I've had. period. All in all Oishi was a good lecturer compared to some of my other classes. It's not the most fun lecture to attend but this class REALLY is not hard if you go to lecture and do the reading.
