I agree with the review below. Winter is amazing, passionate and fair. The work load is definitely manageable; he only requires two short discussion questions a week, and then there is a midterm take home paper and a final take home paper. Plus, he's a fairly easy grader. There is a lot of group discussions which a lot of times is just fluff, but the class is what you make of it. I definitely recommend it - Winter is an awesome professor.

Prof. Winter is a great lecturer who's totally into his material - he tries his hardest to involve everyone in discussion, although this means you'll probably spend a lot of time BSing stuff with everyone else in the class in "small groups." If you're not into that sort of thing, this isn't the class for you - the reading is manageable, a book per week, and a discussion essay per week as well of one page. Overall, one of the easier higher-rated politics classes out there, and Prof. Winter is a great professor (and young, too!) so I'd recommend this class if you're interested in gender studies.
