Pretty conflicted because the lecture was interesting and Newton was pretty funny, he was just kind of a dick about grading (he curved down..). The material was simple but the grading was just too harsh for this low of a level intro class. I ended up with a B but I feel like I deserved at least an A-

Professor Newton was a very funny and interesting teacher. He presented all the material well, often in a funny manner, so lecture was rarely boring, which is excellent for an into philosophy class. None of the material is hard, but the grading for the essays and the midterms are very finicky when it comes to how they want you to word your responses (though I suppose this also depends on your TA).
