This is an excellent class. Professor Coffey meets you where you are in your skill level with DAWs and making music. The class is focused on learning the basics of DAWs, how to do simple stuff like panning, EQing, gain staging, mixing, etc. I already knew most of this coming into the class but it was a helpful refresher. He taught some stuff like sidechaining that was super useful. An easy A class, it's really about you working on what you want to create. The assignments he gives ask you to employ a certain technique like panning/moving things around in space, but a lot of the assignments are just to keep working on something for the final project, be it something before you came into the class or during. The 2.5 hours is long but it went by pretty fast I found and it's only once per week. Amazing professor, great class. Highly recommend.
