Wonderful class if you like computers and electronic music. You really get into the history of electronic music and what makes it what it is. You get to play with musical toys and learn about MaxMSP and other software for manipulating sound! Ted Coffey is a boss, and will help you learn anything and everything you want to learn.

Fun class! If you aren't even considering music as a major, I recommend this course to anyone with any interest in electronic music. Basically...if you want to know how weird sounds are produced, jump in on 3390. Coffey is very approachable and is clearly really into his work...once you get over his rather disorganized style of teaching, you'll learn to enjoy this class thoroughly.
