The first part of semester was like a review of Survey of Algebra, including some extensions. After that we mainly learned new concepts and equations. I felt the class interesting as I enjoyed survey of algebra. However, I also feel it very challenging because you have to memorize a lot of abstract conceptions and understand the proofs and usages of them. Professor Parshall was nice, although sometimes when it came to complicated proofs he became unclear. He is very helpful during office hour and willing to solve your problems.
