I took this in Fall 2020 #tCF2020 Prof Bourdon is the best teacher I have ever had, and not just at UVA. I have never before taken a math class where i felt confident in what I was learning. He was always very generous with his time, and gave an insane amount of extra credit opportunities. If you put in the work, you will learn so much from this class. I am a humanities student all the way, but this class made me excited to continue studying math. I could not recommend Bourdon enough

Professor Bourdon is an amazing teacher with a profound love for math. He is very passionate and makes class enjoyable with his wacky personality. Generally lovely guy. However, this class is also quite difficult, though not impossible . It is absolutely necessary to attend class and very helpful to work with other classmates (which Prof Bourdon also encourages). I found office hours to be useful because he teaches at a quick pace in class and it can be difficult to keep up for less math inclined minds. Can be a tricky class but also enjoyable because of Professor Bourdon’s passion and personality.
