Professor Daniel James is very kind and really wants everyone to succeed in the course. I was in growth based and I did not receive many 4/4's until the end of the course so I basically had an F until the final exam. Since growth based is graded more harshly than standard grading it is very difficult to get a high score under that syllabus. However, if you work hard and ask questions in growth based you can succeed. I would encourage you to look at the feedback you get on each exam and the rubric for what they are looking for in order to do well. I did this towards the end and it helped me a lot. I ended with a B after having an F the whole time so I'm glad I pushed through. You can do it if you study and ask questions!
