Ben Converse is the man. I had zero psych background before this semester, and yet I leave it with a very good grasp of the fundamental ideas of the course, how we can design interventions to reduce the likelihood of falling to predictable traps or make difficult situations easier. The in-class exercises, including the negotiations, are a lot of fun, and are an excellent way to introduce and think about class concepts. Converse gives students a great deal of autonomy (wink wink, you'll understand by mid-October) in our work, and it makes it a lovely experience.

Professor Converse is a great social psych professor! His lectures were engaging despite them being 2.5 hours long. Mostly we focused on negotiation tactics. We had various assignments, but it was the in-person activities that really kept me engaged. Attendance is mandatory, but there is no discussion section.
