Idk who the guy that wrote the last review is...but Tim was easily the worst professor I've ever had at UVA and this class is by no means an easy A.

Tim was a good teacher. He is a grad student but he knows his stuff. The lectures are pretty routine. We have translate aloud in class, so we have to come prepared of the assignment beforehand. His quizzes are extremely easy if you pay attention in class and you basically memorize the passages that we talked about in class. The lines are fairly easy - only about 20 lines per assignment. Tim can be a little dry sometimes. I think that Roman history and culture can be a little more exciting but then again, we are only translating basic works. We did Caesar's De Bello Gallico and Ovid's Metamorphoses this semester. Easy A class, no sweat. But don't be that kid who comes to class unprepared of the translation. They drag down the class for everyone.
