It's sad that there aren't more reviews for this guy. Malin is a phenomenal professor who cares DEEPLY and PASSIONATELY about what he teaches. By the second class, he knew most students' name, and this was a 90-100 person class. He isn't scared to cold call people, but he does so in a genuine way of wanting to engage everyone and is one of the nicest professors I've had. Malin takes a break each lecture to stretch and if you go to office hours, you will be there longer than you would expect because he'll end up asking about your life and what's going on. Every professor should be like this man. There are so many grades in this class; the exams are kind of tricky, but Malin is fair and challenges students.

Malin is very dry during class. Lectures are not interactive despite the small class size of 50 students. He also seems like on of those professors that just doesn't remember what its like to be an undergraduate student- he isn't entirely inflexible, but he is not readily available to work with you.
