would not take this again. forces you to buy his own books then you must write a paper about his book. a bit narcissistic to say the least.

Holt is a very knowledgable guy, who is really passionate about this subject. His class is interesting to those who find political history. I have really enjoyed his unique perspective on the cause of the Civil War

Not my favorite. Mr. Holt took some fascinating material and presented it in a way that I found tedious and uninspired. It is clear that he is passionate about this material but he failed to capture my attention in the same way.

This class is so great, everyone should take it. Holt is incredibly interesting and animated, and completely un-PC.

Professor Holt is an amaazing lecturer. He is engaging and he brings to life the political turmoil of the United States pre-Civil War. This is actually a class that is politics heavy and thus is good for both Politics and History majors.
