this class was okay, but i thought it was overrated. he is definitely enthusiastic, but focuses a lot on confucianism, rather than actual events in history. he tends to repeat himself, which is useful but boring, and sometimes he mumbles so try to sit near the front. make sure you write over 2 pages for the 2-3 page limit or he'll dock off points like crazy, and always explain the significance of something in his quizzes.

Loved this class. Professor Dimberg is an enthusiastic lecturer, often emphasizing his points with personal experience. His lectures are very well organized, and are extremely valuable when it comes time to write the essays. The course is based on two essays (2-3 pages) and two in-class quizzes based on term identification. These are 25% each. To do well on the quizzes, be sure to explain the SIGNIFICANCE of each term, not just the who/what/when/where.
This class was fairly easy. Dimberg can at times repeat himself, but this can be helpful when you must review for the tests. I recommend to speak with him prior to the paper just to ensure you are on the right track.
Dimberg is a good lecturer most of the time, although I just can't understand his grading. I went in over ten times to discuss papers and exams with him, but he never budged in terms of helping my grade even a little bit. Not too bad of a class though.
This class is an awesome class to take. There are 2 quizzes and 2 papers that are all equally 25% of your grade. To do well in this class you MUST ATTEND CLASS. The reading assignments aren't necessary at all so the only work you need to do is pay attention in class and take good notes. The quizzes are straight from his lectures so if you take good notes you'll do well. The papers require more thinking and you'll need to consult the assigned readings but the topics are narrow so you only have to read a little bit. Very easy class to do well in. (You don't even have to buy the books because Dimberg reserved copies of them at Clemons)
You absolutely must take superior notes. If not, you will not do well on the quizzes. If you do take good notes, you will do very well. Go to his offices hours, very helpful. Lectures are kind of boring, but you have to go because that's what the quizzes are based on.
Dimberg is a great lecturer who is extremely knowledgeable in his field and also has many great stories that he interjects throughout lectures. There are 2 quizzes, and 2 papers (each worth 25% of you grade). As long as you take notes in class, you will be fine on quizzes. Reading along with notes are crucial for papers though. His grading can be very arbitrary but if you can figure out what he is looking for, this class will be an easy A.
dimberg is the man. course consists of 2 quizzes, strictly from notes, and you get to pick 10/17 ids to answer. essays are drawn from reading, but again you have choice on the topics, and don't have to do all the reading. especially considering it fulfills non western, this is a great class to take
He is very enthusiastic on the topic. He is also interesting. His lectures are fun, and he doesn't require much reading.
