Zvi is a great man and genuinely funny, but I would not recommend this class to anyone who does not already have a solid background in Hebrew. He is a fairly easy grader, but the scope of work is significant and can feel overwhelming if you are not already comfortable with the language. Despite all the effort, I honestly did not feel like I learned much.

I don't understand what all this enthusiasm is about. Everyone gets an A, so there's that, but if you actually care about learning Hebrew, don't take this class. The words you learn are really random, basically whatever pops into his head that day, and most of the time you'll never see them again. You'll be able to read out loud by the end of the semester, but that's pretty much it. Easy A, colossal waste of time.

Zvi is honestly one of the best, if not the best, professors I've had so far. His classes are never boring, and you will learn so much. This class had me reading Hebrew pretty fluently by the end of the semester. He also emphasizes progress and never gives out tests or quizzes, so everyone gets As as long as they progress and do their work. 10/10 would recommend.

Easy class. Everyone gets an A so long as you complete all the assignments. Zvi cares about progress in learning the language, not grades. There is a fair amount of work, especially on weekends, but as long as you do it at some point (that is, there is no real penalty for late assignments) you'll get an A.
