The actual labs were pretty fun, though we had to write a 3-4 page lab report for each. I also feel like the course was a lot of writing work for only 1 credit. My TA was really chill and genuinely interested in the subject. Definitely doable if you like ecology, but requires some time to write good lab reports. #tCFF23

This has been the best lab course I have taken. There are four field labs which are so much fun. As with most labs, I feel like it was way more work than one credit. For each field lab you have to write a mini lab report which is time consuming. You are also expected to read and summarize one scientific journal per week. The majority of your grade is based on a final manuscript. This assignment should not be too bad if you put effort into your lab notes. However, my TA was super slow with grading, so I did not know what I was doing well on and what I needed to improve on when writing the final manuscript. Luckily, this course counts as the second writing requirement. #tCFF23
