This class is one of my all-time favorite classes. It's not your typical english class. Instead, you form a group with 2-3 other students and make your own podcast on a topic of your choosing. I had never done anything like this before but I left the class with a product I was incredibly proud of. Grade wise, professor Ceraso is incredibly fair and will give you an A/A- if you do the work. I do think the class was a little unbalanced because for the first half of the semester basically all you did was listen to a podcast a week and write a small response but once you started working on your own podcast, you could easily spend 8 hours a week. So be aware of the backloaded element of the class, but even with that I would 100% recommend

This is the best class I took this semester. Professor Ceraso is an awesome professor who is always very full of energy. The class is mostly group work, but it's a workshop so that should be expected. The class is basically an ongoing listening journal, a digital oral history project, and then the final podcast project. I would definitely recommend this class - you'll learn a lot, especially about editing.
