I actually took this class Fall 2020 but that wasn't an option to select. I took this class in a zoom format, so I'm not sure what it would be like in person, but I can say for sure that Professor Davies is great! Her class was very engaging and we actually discussed important topics like race, class inequality, and other social issues rather than just talking about the writing the whole time. I feel like I learned from this class, and while I know it's required, I still had a good time taking it. Her grading was very fair, and we only wrote 2 four page essays and one group presentation at the end. Great way to break into the English department at UVA. Highly recommend this professor!
