This class was called Manifestations of Madness. We read, discussed, and wrote about mental illness in terms of three different areas: defining "madness," how "madness" has been viewed and treated historically (from insane asylums to the "crazy artist" trope), and how "madness" is portrayed in fiction. Christian is a fantastic teacher with lots of knowledge about various topics. This class taught me a lot about different views of mental illness and how those with mental illnesses are misunderstood. It also got me interested in psychology. I would highly recommend it!
