Ash is the man. Super interesting, super knowledgeable, and is great at leading class discussions. All ENWRs are going to be dry at times, especially during discussions on writing styles, but that's to be expected. Ash made it as interesting as it could possibly being, often showing movies in class and letting us leave a few minutes early if we had covered all the material he wanted us to that day. Plus, he was a pretty lax grader when it came to the 4 papers and 2 self evaluations he required. Highly recommend taking this class, or any other for that matter, with Ash

My topic for the ENWR was Brands. While he was a good teacher and did not grade harshly on papers, we talked about the same skill strategies over and over again. However, he tried to make it interesting with prevalent examples from every day life and he was flexible with writing topics.

Extremely arbitrary grading, I dont think this grade distribution is accurate
